Happy New Year everyone. 2004 is now over. I believe 2005 will prove to be a big year not just for me, but also for this blog. In the next coming months I hope to transform this blog into something more substantive, with links to websites, podcasts, software and to be a central depository for all forms of emerging technologies. I need comments! Topic: linux distros

People, I'm trying to encourage the posting of comments on my blog. So I figured a good way to get comments would be to ask a question to the readers/viewers of my blog. What I would like to know is what Linux distros you are using, or have used in the past that are easy to install and full of applications. I have tried a few in the past, with my favorite being Mandrake, but none have really sparked enough interest for me to make the full switch from Windows.

It's been a while since I last posted, I've been a little busy lately. But here's something Adam was talking about on the Daily Source Code and of course Dawn and Drew were putting in their two cents about the article and the writer's inability to get Dawn's name right. So Newsweek I believe has a similar article in the print edition but here is the web edition of the article titled, Tivo for your iPod.

Found a must read article about the red state-blue state election debacle at Urban Archipelago. Definitely check it out. Here's a great excerpt from the article, "And we are the real Americans. They--rural, red-state voters, the denizens of the exurbs--are not real Americans. They are rubes, fools, and hate-mongers." How fitting.

Back from Atlanta

So I went to Atlanta for the weekend to see the love of my life, and I unfortunately had to come back to Augusta. It was nice to see her again, it's always nice because I don't see her very often due to the physical distance between us. But even then I still think it's tough carrying on a long distance relationship, but we seem to be making it work pretty well.
So with that said Atlanta is an awesome city, so many things to do and see, I just love it. Although we didn't do much, except eat great food, it was fun. I thought I would recommend the great restaurants we ate at to all of you that might be viewing my blog.
The first restaurant we ate at was a great sushi place in Little Five Points called Sweet Lime, it was really good and inexpensive sushi, I certainly will be going back there.
Then on Saturday we had lunch at Joe's on Juniper in Midtown, it was delicious and also inexpensive.
Then Sunday we ate breakfast at The Flying Biscuit Cafe near Piedmont Park also in Midtown, and I had the best breakfast burrito ever, what they call the Meggxican Wrap. They weren't expensive although we spent the most money there, because we got the Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer, which was also the best I've ever had topped with a cashew-jalapeno salsa and feta cheese. I recommend going to all these restaurants if you're ever in Atlanta.
So that was about all we did, oh and we saw The Incredibles, Pixar's latest movie and we really enjoyed it, I also suggest seeing that if you haven't already.

So I've decided to start a blog, really for no other reason than everyone on "the internets" seems to have one already. Strangely I seem to have stumbled upon the blogs of two people I used to work with at a company I wish not to mention. And they are crackingtheegg and angellawangella .
I feel like I've kinda missed the boat already, which is somewhat unsettling because I've always thought myself to be on the bleeding edge of technology.
So with this, I am no longer a virgin blogger, which is good because I'm tired and need to get to bed. My next posts will hopefully be more substantive.
